Learn the basics of letterpress through a hands-on process of printing on a vintage platen press with the Master Printers of Paisley Dog Letterpress. Tour a working-museum/print-shop and discuss the history of printing. Students experience the entire process, from composition (hand-setting and locking-up plates) to printing (inking and pulling the press) while creating a holiday card or gift tags, trade work with classmates, and experiment with a variety of techniques and materials.
